PASTRY SNACK WITH CHEESE ( KOLAY POGACA )

This is a perfect savoury recipe for the tea time. It is also a great snack!  I prefer to make them with cheese as I absolutely love cheese! But you can try to put different ingredients in it as you wish and experiment with it! Im sure it will turn out delicious with anything!

 

Total time : 40 minutes

Level : Easy

Serve : 6

INGREDIENTS :

3 and half cup flour

1 egg

1 / 2 cup olive oil

1/2 cup butter , melted

1/2 tsp sea salt

1 cup plain yogurt

1 tsp baking powder

FOR FILLING INGREDIENTS :

1 cup white cheese or feta cheese

1/2 cup parsley ,chopped

Mix them in a small bowl and set aside .

FOR EGG WASH INGREDIENTS :

1 egg york , 1 tbs milk , 1/2 tsp olive oil . Mix them in a little bowl and set aside .

DIRECTIONS :

Heat oven to 230 degrees C .

Place the yogurt ,egg , the butter and olive oil , salt in a large bowl and mix them .

Add the flour and baking powder . Knead it until smoothy and elastic for 5 minutes .

Place your dough on to floured surface and roll it . Cut 24 equal pieces and to make

little  roll , like a walnut size  then  press  on the little rolls with your fingers  to make

flat round . Place a small amount of the cheese in the middle of the flat and shape it

like a half moon .

Place on a sheeted tray and brush the tops with egg wash , Immediately

place it  in the oven  and bake in preheated oven until golden brown for 10 minutes .

Serve it in the morning or afternoon tea time .
