Bake time= 50-60 minutes
There is so many good reason to bake a Cake with dried fruits as afternoon tea,birthday parties, dinner parties or for treat. This Cake recipe is very easy and very delicious.You haven’t need a storage for it, because of it will be eaten in short time. I hope you enjoy!
4cup all-purpose flour
1cup plain yogurt (Turkish yogurt or Greek yogurt)
1tsp carbonate, 1/2tsp baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips
1/3cup, dried apple, chopped (tinny size)
1/3 cup dried apricot, chopped (tinny size)
1/3cup dried orange, chopped (tinny size)
1 cup dried sultanas, soaked in cold water 2minutes and dried. (If you want , soak it in a variety of liquors)
2tsp orange zest
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.(350degrees F.) and prepare a cake tin 25X25.( grease the sides and bottom , lightly dust with a little flour.)
1- Dust the fruit with ½ tbsp of flour to make it easier to combine with the cake batter, set aside.
2- Place the butter and margarine in a big mixing bowl and beat until well creamy, Add the sugar and beat together until creamy.
3- Add the eggs and beat until well combine and Sift together the flour, baking powder, carbonate in a bowl and add it into batter, beat with a wooden spoon or spatula until the ingredients have combined, approximately 2-3 minutes.
4- Add the dried fruits and chocolate chips into batter and stir them until combine.
4- Pour the fruitcake mixture into the greased cake tin. Transfer the cake tin to the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes or check for doneness by inserting toothpick into the middle of cake, if it comes out clean it’s done. If not, bake another 5-6 minutes, check again.
5 Remove cake from oven and let it cool and then serve it.
