Recently I have made frozen yogurt, because it’s summer and for my blog anniversary dinner. It’s not difficult to make. If you really love frozen yogurt- there’s nothing better than homemade and you can make Frozen yogurt with just simple ingredients and add your favourite fruit on top it. I made sure the result are smooth, scoopable and so delicious.
Yogurt Benefit ; Yogurt is one of the most popular fermented dairy, and yogurt is highly nutritious and is an excellent source of protein, calcium and potassium. It provides numerous vitamins and minerals, it is low in calories
2 and 1/2 Cup plain homemade strained yogurt or Turkish style yogurt or Greek yogurt
1 Cup powder sugar
5 tbsp runny honey
1 Cup whole milk
1/2 Cup ice water
1/2 Cup crema
1/4 tbsp vanilla
1- Freeze the bowl of your ice cream maker 24 hours in your freezer.
2- Before combine the hawy cream and powder sugar in a bowl and whisk 1-2 minute, add the yogurt, milk, ice water, honey,vanilla and whisk until yogurt and all ingredients are fully mixed in the bowl, about 1-2 minutes.
3- Pour the mixed yogurt into ice cream machine. Churn until the mixed yogurt has thickened to the texture and if your yogurt warmed at all, let the frozen yogurt sit on the counter for 25-30 minutes in your freezer, and again churn the yogurt until thick.
4- Press a piece of parchment against the top of yogurt to prevent ice-crystals from forming, freeze again until hard, at least 4 hours or overnight.
5- When ready to serve, let the frozen yogurt sit on the counter for 5 minutes, until just soft enough to scoop. Serve with ripe seasonal fruits such as plums, mangos,pears, blueberries and chocolate chips, shredded walnut or what you like.
