Today, I want to share my recipe which is delicious Homemade Potato Borek. This borek is simple and easy therefore it does not take long time. Also, You can make it with the remaining boiled potato.
I used Turkish Phyllo Pastry which is made traditional way and you can keep it in your refrigerator about two or three weeks. I hope, you like the borek, enjoy it!
6 sheets Turkish style filo dough
5 medium potatoes, boiled peeled and mashed, fried with 2 tbsp. butter. Salt and pepper add to seasoning.
INGREDIENTS FOR BRUSHING THE FILO DOUGH SURFACE
1 Cup whole milk
1/2 melted butter
1/2 olive oil
1 Cup fizzy water
Put the eggs, melted butter, olive oil in a medium bowl and beat them together until combine well.Then add the fizzy water. Set aside.
1- Take sheet and spoon the mixed sauce over the phyllo pastry and then fold the pastry over the itself and spoon again the mixed sauce over the pastry, put the potato over the folded phyllo pastry and roll it. Place it into the sheeted baking tray or greased baking tray and repeat the same procedure until your baking tray is full.
2- Pour your remaining mixed sauce over the borek and place it into the preheat oven.( 200 C.degrees)
3- Bake it about 10-15 minutes and take it from the oven. Serve it warm or cold.
