There is no love like your Mother’s love, there is no Country like your Motherland. (Turkish Proverb)
Mother’s Day is celebrated in different date around the world but the spirit is the same everywhere. In Turkey Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in the month of May. In the day preschool children present their mothers with own handmade gifts, and elder children buy gifts for their mother or they present flowers to express love for their mothers.People celebrate the day by going out for lunch or picnics, therefore cafes and restaurant see a busy time. Local school children and some local charity staffs visit Nursing Home where they meet lonely mothers. Mother’s Day has been commercialized to large extend in Turkey like all round the world. The day as an opportunity to express thankfulness and love to your mother. I think, the best gift that you can spend time with your mother.
Happy Mother’s Day to All Mothers Round The World!
