Hi everyone!

We visited london about a cuple of month ago and we had a dinner in Hai Cenato restaurant&bar. Hai Cenato is a Newyork-Italian cooking restaurant and bar located in Victoria’s Nova coplex, London/ UK. Hai Cenato London takes 2 minutes from Victoria Station. Hai cenato translating as ” Have you had dinner?” in Italian. It was pretty good restaurant , the restaurant has a fun space and there are some black- and- white vintage shots on the wall. it has the floor-to-ceiling glas windows, counter seating. Also, it has an open kitchen ultra contemporary setting and nice ambiance. But it was a noisy place. They inspired by New York-Italian cusine, the menu includes pasta&risotto, sea food plates, grills, and sourdough pizzas.

We ordered some sourdough pizzas, salad and drinks. The pizzas were topped mozzerella, tomato, hommede fennel sausage and prosciutto. I really loved the pizza, it was the mix of textures and sourdough-sausage combination was excellent tasty. Also sea foods were delicious, but on the other hand, considering the price was not the best in london, because it was a little expencive. However, service was average.

There was a good variety of food and booze to choose. Also, I was glad to try a new place in London, we can go there again because the restaurant has outside terrace for the summer days.

When you think of Turkish food, you often think of meat dishes like Kebab and Doner. There are many kinds of Döner and if you want to try traditional Doner, you have to search for a good quality restaurant. I often go Panora Uludağ Restaurant because the restaurant has more experience to cook Döner. Also, you have more options to choose delicious dishes.

Moreover , the restaurant has a history because it established in 1956 on the Denizciler Street-Ankara-Turkey, that time it had four table and it was a little restaurant. After that the restaurant moved to another big place on the same street. The restaurant was popular in Ankara and it has opened new restaurants in Ankara and Istanbul-Turkey. For example, the restaurant has some branches such as Uludağ Restaurant- Oran Panora-Ankara ,Uludağ Restaurant Çay-yolu-Ankara, Uludağ Restaurant Gaziosmanpaşa-Ankara, Uludağ Restaurant-Istanbul-Turkey, and Uludağ- Restaurant Bursa-Turkey. The restaurant Chef cooks Doner, Kebab, Kind of meat and kofte, Handmade and traditional Cig Kofte, Desserts, Flatbread. Also, they have a kind of booze.

The restaurant is my favourite restaurant in Ankara -Turkey, whenever I craved for Doner I visit Uludag Panora Restaurant. They serve very delicious dishes and Waitress are greeting very respectfully and friendly. Also, the restaurant is clean and the foods are fresh.

Last weekend we visited the restaurant without booked and we were pleased because they had enough table. We started with a wonderful Uludag Doner. They literally have the best Doner, it was vert tasty meat and covered with boiling sizzling melted butter right in front of us and added special tomato sauce over the meat. Next course was Cig kofte, It is traditional food and it was perfectly good. 

The restaurant ambiance is wonderful and there is enough space you don’t feel crowd in there. Also the restaurant has lots of seating place with indoor and outdoor.

ÇIRAĞAN PALACE- HISTORICAL STORY AND REVIEW-

Hello Everyone!

Today I want to talk about historical hotels, because I have spent a couple of days in Historical Çırağan Palace Kempinski Hotel and I want to share my experiences with you.

The gorgeous historic Ciragan Place hotel like a pearl along the Bosporous in Istanbul-Turkey. If people visit the hotel they eventually fall in love it because the hotel was placed on the European coast of the Bosphorus, between Ortakoy and Besiktas neighbourhoods in Istanbul-Turkey, therefore it has a spectacular lovely seascape. As you know, many legendary tales lie hidden behind the doors of history and Çirağan Palace is really one of those great living legends. Hence I want to share its historic story with you. If you have a curiosity to learn about the historical story about a building as me, you can enjoy it.

-Did you know Çerağan meaning ‘light spreading’ in Persian?

Grand Vizier Ibrahim Pasha of Nevsehir wants to make a Mansion for his beloved wife Fatma Sultan. Therefore, the first waterside mansion was constructed in Kazancioglu area,in 1719. Fatma Sultan always organised Torclit celebrations and festivals in it’s tulip garden, and gardens decorated with kind of torches in the evening. Therefore it was called Ciragan Place by Ottoman people, because Çirağan meaning is a spread light and the name derived from the Persian word.

About a century later, Sultan 2.Mahmut ordered to have The Çırağan mansion demolished and rebuild a new Place. His architecture made it entirely out of stone and the 40 columns gave it a classical look. The construction took about 12 years. In 1791 the Palace was sold to 3. Selim’s Sister Beyhan Sultan but one day 3.Selim visited his sister and during his visit, he was enamoured with the Çirağan Palace and Sultan purchased it from his sister for himself. Sultan began spending most of time at the Place and he written magnificent  poetry, also he created some gorgeous poetries in this Palace. After Sultan 3.Selim, Çirağan Palace went back to being ‘the Favourite mansion’ of Sultans.

In 1834 Sultan 2. Mahmut decided to rebuild the Place and he demolished the Place together with School and Mosque. it’s construction took about eight year, New Çrağan Palace was magnificent with the classical appearance.

After the years, in 1863Sultan Abdulaziz whose carried out his brother wishes, and he ordered Agop Balyan to  build a Place, He used North African architectural techniques for the new Place and a new stone foundation was built in its place. Also gorgeous priceless doors of the Palace were each made by Vortik Kemhaciyan and worthy 1000 gold coins. In for years, German Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm visited Çırağan Palace and he admired the palace doors therefore 2.Sultan Abdulhamit had gave one of the door as a present to his close friend Kaiser Wilhelm, he sent that door on display at the Berlin Museum. Çırağan Palace was completed in 1871 and 2.5 million gold coins were spent. But unfortunately, a rumour spread among the public. Due to rumour,  if the Palace take the House of Mevlevi for the incorporation of its land into the Place estate, it would bring bad luck. Therefore Sultan Abdulaziz moved to Dolmabahce Palace and he lived in there.

In 1909, the Çiragan Palace was used by the government as Turkish Parlement Building, the building decorated valuable paintings from the art collection of Sultan 2.Abdulhamid, the art works had made by Ayvazovsky and Rembrant . Unfortunately, in 1910 a cruel fire  which is known to have started in the attic heating system and destroyed the place within 5 hours, including excellence antiques, 2. Abdulhamid of the art collections and books from the library of Murad the 5.

In addition, An army captain damaged the grave site of the dervishes in the basement of the Palace while digging for gold after the  years of the fire. At the and of the first world war, during the occupation of Istanbul, The ruined Çiragan Palace was used as ‘Bizo Barrack’ by the French military for the corps engineers. Another saddened event that, Besiktas Futbol Club had cut some trees in the Palace garden for using as stadium in 1930. After the short time, Prof. Bonatz and Architect Prof. Sedat Hakki Elder had investigated about building a hotel in this area.

In 1985 the Sanbar Group signed a letter of understanding with the Government to renovate the Çırağan Palace and transform from the Palace to a 5 star hotel. The construction started in 1987 and after the Kempinski Group was awarded the contract for the hotel management and operations. Çırağan Palace Kempinski opens its door to public in 1990. Since then Çırağan Palace Kempinski has been hosting to  the different country people.

In conclusion, Amazing location and historic story of the hotel, satisfy staff, hotel’s waiters are very friendly and attentive, tidy comfortably rooms and delicious foods. The service in the hotel is  good level one would expect at a Kempinski. If you have no complain classical fashioned and you love historic style place, it can be enjoyable for a short break in Istanbul. There is endless views of the city, you can see that, east meets west from the Palace balcony. The hotel has an lovely pool on Boshporus, garden which is spectacular place to hang out with friends or family, for a cup of coffee, tea.Finally there is a fine dining restaurants and bars, Restaurants has good  gastronomic experiences.

RESTAURANT REVIEW/ NUSR-ET STEAKHOUSE

Hi Everyone!

Today I want to share my restaurant review with you because I visited Nusr-et steakhouse with my family and I have some experiences for sharing.

Firstly, I would like to give a little information about the restaurant. The restaurant Nusr-et steakhouse is located in Ankara-Turkey. The steakhouse has an open-kitchen and it was decorated modern style. The restaurant  serve variety meats for meat lovers and it became famous by its chef , also the restaurant owner Nusret Gokce ,the immensely popular Turkish chef and TV personality, therefore , you can fine the same restaurant in some cities because , the restaurant has some branches in different cities and countries, such as, Istanbul, Ankara, Bodrum-Turkey, Qatar,Dubai, Miami and New York. The restaurants are high-end steakhouse.

Secondly, I want to talk about my experiences. We ordered the medium-cooked ribeye steak, fried potato and the steak was good grilled and juicy, the food presentation was perfect but the steak taste was not much perfect, if you expect much more amazing taste.On the other hand, fried potato was excellent. For dessert, we want to try baklava with the ice-cream and the waiter served it  with a little cutting baklava show, the show was funny , however the baklava was not much fresh and I felt a little disappointing about the dessert. If want to drink booze, there are kind of good selected wine and the restaurant waiters were kind and respectful to customers but the prices was more costly.

In conclusion, the restaurant ambiance is lovely and elegant, comfortable, not noisy,  If you are planning to visit Ankara-Turkey and want to try traditional Ottoman steak, the restaurant can be good choice when you do not consider the price.

Kaşıbeyaz Restaurant in Ankara-TURKEY

-Hi everybody!
If you are in Ankara-Turkey or visiting to Ankara and you are looking for a good traditional restaurant, it is worthy to visit. Kaşibeyaz Restaurant is well- known restaurant in Istanbul-Turkey and The restaurant was opened a new branch of Ankara about 2 years ago.

There was two reason I went to this restaurant. First reason is that, I wanted to try traditional food and to experience a local culture, they were pretty good.Second reason, It has an excellent location, because the restaurant located in the middle of the Ataturk Forest Botany and we have visited it recently, The restaurant has been decorated with a nice classic style also it has South Eastern Anatolia kitchen. We had a pleasant surprise in there they offered a full selection grilled meat and kofte, flat bread, salad, grilled peppers, tomato, even excellent sliced fruits! Yes, you read that right, and I tried all of the food on my table, in addition, grilled kofte was spicy also the meat was juicy, buttery, well-done and so good. Also, If you want to experience something than typical meze or kofta-meat, you can try ‘Mumbar Dolma’ the Dolma is made from cleaned sheep intestine,(cleaned sheep intestine is stuffed with ground meat, rice, herb, spices, butter and than stuffed intestine cooks in a saucepan).

In addition, the appetiser was simple but very enjoyable. Salad was made fresh herb with grape vinegar sauce, it was mouth-watering . Service was very friendly, if you don’t know speaking Turkish it doesn’t matter, because the menu has been prepared in English and Turkish. Also if you would like to choose a clean restaurant, I have to say that, the restaurant was clean. However, their dinner music choosing was not good, they should choose a relaxing music. They have a huge, good garden and a smoking lounge. Families prefer to go there in general and Some time, Business meetings do in there. But they don’t serve booze at  Kasibeyaz Restaurant in Ankara. They serve some treat,  such as; fruit, tea and coffee.

Finally, the restaurant was no crowded too much and the food was a bit costly at this restaurant. Nevertheless, We were happy to make the reservation and I have took some photo for you. I hope, you will enjoy!

Hi everyone!

I went there with a few of my friends and we were delighted to sit down for lunch at Develi Kebab Restaurant. We had a nice table by the window. The restaurant located in famous Palestine Street (Filistin Caddesi) in Ankara –Turkey. This restaurant opend at 2016 and the restaurant has some branches in Istanbul and the restaurant is one of the popular restaurant in Turkey. The restaurant’s decoration is very nice, clean, elegant. Inside, the space is extremely welcoming and the guest can see right into the bar. Develi restaurant serving up generous portions of kofte and lahmacun (Turkish pizza) cooked in their restaurant oven and the restaurant takes inspiration from Gaziantep(Antep) traditional rich, flavours, cuisine. They belive fresh is the only way to enjoy food and every meal prepared at the restaurant kitchen is fresh.

When we arrived they brought us some pickled vegetables, warm bread. Then we were handed menus. We ordered some cold starters , one of them was cigkofte (typical Turkish raw meat, and you had to take a small bit of the raw meat, add some fresh lemon juice to it and wrap it into a lettuce leaf, not my favorite bit of the meal but I did enjoy it. Then we ordered Gavurdagi Salad( consist of tomatoes and red onions, green fresh pepper, walnuts and other ingredients) , hummus. I loved the salad and hummus, they were very tasty. We did not order a spate main course each and asked the waiter to bring us a big round lahmacun, ( the round shape Turkish pizza,) and we shared them. The lahmacun was thin and crispy , tasty. We ordered Pistashio Kofte ( which really did taste like pistachio, and Develi restaurant is the creator of Pistashio Kofte.) . And then we ordered Katmer dessert which was rolled baklava pastry with pistachio and natural cream. The portions were generous and came with the ice-cream. The Katmer was also very delicious and they served traditional Turkish tea-free of charge.

I had an excellent meal at Develi Kebab Restaurant and the servis was very nice and we never waited more than 5 minutes for an appetizer, or 15 minutes for our main dish. If you want to order wine, they had adequate of wine and you can try to taste Local Wine. Also they had Turkish Raki. The service was very friendly and attentive with great stuff , a caring restaurant manager.

Finally,The service was very friendly and attentive. Prices are ok, too, considering the quality of the food. We would recommend this restaurant if you want to try the Lokal restaurant and new places for delicious food and a lovely atmosphere.

Kaburga Dolma-Stuffed the Rib Eye Steak with Rice.

 

Tavaci Recep Usta restaurant is a great traditional meat restaurant in Ankara city the heart of Turkey. The restaurant is a ethnic Turkish cuisine. It is the favourite lunch and dinner place for local community.

When you went the place you are welcomed with so friendly and smiling face by the waiters. They are dressed neatly.You can see the luxuries of modernity in the restaurant and also the restaurant is very large. For those who don’t book a table and are waiting. There is a cosy atmosphere in the restaurant and pictures of famous people displayed on the walls.

The menu offers a wide variety of tasty starters. We had the Icli Kofte ( stuffed ground meat in bulgur ball) and the Coban Salad served with pomegranate sauce. The main course consisted in  the RIB EYE STEAK DOLMA (Rib eye steaks stuffed with rice- The dish is definitely Turkish most traditional recipe but cooking at home kitchen is very hard because the rib eye steak dolma cooks in the traditional big stone oven. The rice is mixed with aromatic spices and roasted nuts, herbs and then the mixed rice is filled  in the lamb rib eye steaks then the rib eye steak is sewed up , it is cooked in stone oven) ,Sac Kavurma (Fried meat in iron plate) , which really pleasured us. It all was followed by a delicious Semolina halva with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert and The dessert served with  traditional Turkish cafe.

All the dishes were fresh and the chefs takes great care in selection the best quality meat and vegetables. Thankfully the owner and hostess, is always around willing to conversation some kind words with all their  clients. The service is extremely good can have profound influence.

That the service does not accompany any kind of booze, because of the restaurant serve for family and children. Tea and Turkish coffee is free in the restaurant.

Despite the a bit much high price of the food, I had a pleasant and all meze was free, thrilled dinner experience with food of the most  delicious flavours. For this reoason I highly recommended going to the Recep Usta restaurant.
