There are some funny story to explain why the name is coming from. Commonly knowing one is that Īmam (Clerk) found the taste so overwhelmingly perfect tasty and he fainted from delight, after a bite the stuffed eggplant. An other story says that he learnt the amount of olive oil that put into the dish and how much expensive olive oil was used, he was worried about his money spent and he just fainted.

Hi everyone! Today I want to share a different recipe that is a perfect winter desert. This is a famous traditional Turkish desert (Turkish name is Ayva tatlisi) & it is one of my favourite fruit desserts.This is quite easy to prepare and it is delicious to serve it with thick cream or ice cream. It does take a little practice to get it right but it is delicious and healthy. The handmade flaky pastry really melts in your mouth. It is wonderful for tea time or snack.
